Almar Zaadstra is one of Australia’s leading artist in Australian history, born in Australia of Dutch Heritage he has won several awards for his work. Home base is in Casterton, Victoria, which is reflected in his beautiful oil paintings, of the rivers and raw Red Gum trees of the area. His detail in every section of his work, from the bows on the settlers dressers to the fine hairs of a horses tail gives his painting a sense of authenticity and nostalgia.
